Tab Navigation, Clearer Statistics, and a New Brew Timer

Beanstats 2.19.0 puts your everyday screens within easy reach and gives your statistics and live brewing data more room to tell the story.

What’s New

Five tabs for everyday use

The sidebar is replaced by Home, Beans, Brews, Statistics, and More tabs. Each tab keeps its place as you move between screens. More brings together cafes, roasters, equipment, methods, water, caffeine, and settings.

On iPhone, the tabs sit at the bottom; on iPad, they appear in a floating bar at the top.

These changes make the views more accessible while also following iOS 27 guidelines.

Statistics, redesigned

Statistics now opens with short summaries of your coffee habits, a main chart, and key figures. Expandable groups let you explore the details without showing every chart at once. New users get a getting-started card while building their brew history.

Tap or drag across charts to inspect values. Average trends leave gaps for periods without data, and empty charts explain what you need to record to fill them. Links from summaries take you to relevant beans, methods, and equipment.

The time-range picker is available to everyone, with 7-day and 30-day views for free accounts and longer ranges through Premium.

A clearer live brew timer

The brew timer places weight and time together, keeps the action buttons within reach, and gives the chart the remaining screen space. Flow and pressure readings sit alongside their indicators, with smoother live updates and consistent colors.

Finish Shot and Finish Brew make the end of a session clearer across brewing styles and screen orientations. The recipe timeline remains expandable during filter brews.

Scale feedback and timing

Scale timers that report their own clock now keep the app timer in step with those readings. Optional haptic feedback confirms tare and timer-start actions, with optional sound available in Settings > Devices & Integrations > Scales for scales that don’t have audio cues.

A shorter path to your first brew

Setup now has four steps: welcome, brewing style and units, your first bean, and a brew preview. It ends by opening the brew form with your choices applied. Existing users skip setup automatically.

Simpler settings and backups

Feature settings are grouped into Brew Form and Tracking, and import and export options are easier to reach. Backup restore shows a preview with record counts, export date, and device before you import. Large backup exports keep the interface responsive while they prepare.

Fixes & Improvements

  • Changed brew forms ask before discarding your work, and deleting a brew requires confirmation. Brew detail screens also have a Delete Brew action
  • Fixed brew timer paths that could lose captured data or overwrite an entered brew time with an unrelated scale timer value
  • Improved card consistency, tab bar legibility, bean badge contrast, large-text layouts, and VoiceOver navigation
  • Improved widget navigation and layouts, including Quick Log brewing styles and freeze weights in your selected units
  • Freeze and thaw forms respect your selected weight units
  • Bean hero photos retain their proportions across window sizes
  • Added coffee and equipment symbols, clearer sync status, and more useful deep-link feedback
  • Some preparations for the Holiday season

Happy brewing!
