Beanstats 2.2: Share Cards, OCR Bean Import, and Landscape Charts

Beanstats 2.2 makes it easier to get information into Beanstats (point your camera at a bag), and easier to get it back out (share a styled card of any brew).

Share Cards

Generate a styled image card for any brew, complete with bean details, recipe parameters, and your taste profile. Perfect for sharing a recipe with a friend or posting a particularly good shot.

OCR Bean Import

Scan the back of a coffee bag with your camera and Beanstats extracts roaster, origin, varieties, process, and tasting notes automatically. You confirm before saving. Fewer typed entries, more brewing.

Add Bean Button with long-press menu

Long-press the Add Bean button to jump straight into OCR scanning, manual entry, or other quick-add paths.

Product page links on beans

Save the URL of a bean’s product page and access it straight from the bean detail view. Useful when you want to re-order.

Bookoo Scale flow rate

Bookoo scales now report live flow rate to Beanstats, joining Acaia in the set of scales that drive the full flow chart on espresso.

Acaia authentication improvements

More reliable pairing and reconnection for Acaia Pearl, Lunar, and Pyxis.

iPhone landscape mode

Rotate to landscape on the brew detail view to see flow and weight charts fullscreen. Easier to inspect a shot in detail.
