Beanstats 2.3: Rating Reminders and Full Backup

Beanstats 2.3 is a quality-of-life release with one important addition: a real, full-fidelity backup of everything in your library.

What’s New

Rating Reminders

Beanstats can now remind you to rate a brew after a configurable delay, anywhere from 15 minutes to the next day. Useful if you like to taste a pour-over as it cools before scoring it, or rate an espresso once the acidity settles.

Full Backup and Restore

Export your entire library, brews, beans, equipment, recipes, settings, to a single JSON file, and restore from one with one tap. A proper safety net for migrating devices or just keeping a snapshot.

Better brew list filters

Filtering now includes variety and processing method, which makes drilling into “all my washed Ethiopians” a one-tap operation.

European decimal support

Number entry now handles European decimal formats correctly, so commas as decimal separators just work.

Share card improvements

Share cards now include detailed flow rate charts when you brew with a connected scale. Much more useful when sharing pour-over recipes.

Webhook support for local network

Webhook endpoints now accept local network HTTP addresses and self-signed certificates, which makes integrating with Home Assistant or a local n8n instance much easier.

Fixes & Improvements

  • Beanconqueror import is now out of beta and lives in the main Settings menu
  • macOS compatibility enhancements

Happy brewing!
